18/16

No, that's not pounds lost recently, unfortunately. Man, if I'd stepped on the scale this morning and  had lost 18 pounds and 16 inches, I'd be shouting from the rooftops! haha

No, that's my new size of clothing!

I went to JCPenny yesterday in desperate need of some new professional tops. They were having a killer sale so I figured it was a good time to just see what was what.

I bought two new tops in an extra large. The last blouse I bought from there was a 3x in October 2017.

I also bought a dress in a size 18 and a pair of pants in a size 16! I tried on a size 16 jeans and they fit! I didn't get them because I figured I was already spending too much. But I may go back this weekend if the sale is still going on and get them. Because what is money when I need jeans that aren't saggy! Because, yes, the size 18 jeans I bought before Christmas that were too tight then to wear are now a bit baggy!

Y'all, I know those are still "plus" sizes. I understand that there are women out there who would NEVER admit to wearing those sizes. But...I have not worn either of those sizes since about the 6th grade! I wish I were joking! I was 11 or 12 years old the last time I wore a size 18 dress!

So you know, the scale can go suck it because I am feeling really great right now.

Pardon the dressing room photos but I thought y'all might want to see.

I bought this blouse in an extra large and these are the size 16 jeans I tried on but did not buy. I don't have a pic of the slacks I bought for work but they, too, are a 16.

Sorry about the bare feet! This is the dress I bought in an 18. It's a tad snuggish, or at least if feels that way but I'm so used to wearing clothes that hang on me (even when I was much heavier, I always bought baggy) I'm not sure what "fitting" is supposed to feel like.

Also bought a little sweater to go over it because ARMS. haha
So that's my victory for today!
