I'm about to head to lunch and I gotta say, I'm hungrier now than I have been being at lunch. I've had a coffee between breakfast and now. Breakfast, by the way, was a tiny bit of scrambled turkey sausage scrambled with an egg, half an ounce of cheese melted on top and a toasted English muffin. Breakfast is now my favorite part of the day. Breakfast and bed-time. Because eating and sleep. ha
Anyway, I think I'm finally detoxing from all the junk I ate the first three weeks of this month. By next week I'm going to be ready to EAT again. Actually, I'm ready to eat again NOW.
*sigh*
Off to drink a Special K shake...

So I drank my SpK shake and water. I was starving by 3pm so I went in search of fruit at the snackshop. The only fruit they had was a cup of three strawberries for nearly $3. So yeah. I left them there. But I was good and didn't get any chips, either, like I wanted. They were in reach but I didn't do it.
I was on my way back to my desk when I remembered that I have a partial can of almonds in my box in the lounge. So I sprinted (or hobbled, as the case may be) downstairs and inhaled a handful (10) almonds. Drank a bit more water. Annnnnd I'm still hungry. Total. Bummer. But supper shake is only an hour away. Maybe I'll make it till then. Hopefully I won't need anymore snacks tonight but I'm not holding my breath.
Tomorrow I have a work related excuse to actually EAT lunch. One of the committees I'm on is going to lunch at the local bbq place tomorrow and attendance is required. Same thing with breakfast Friday morning. I'm trying to decide if this means I should drink a shake for breakfast tomorrow instead of eating but I'm always hungriest in the mornings and I'd be STUCK until lunch without any way of sneaking a handful of almonds or even drinking water. Will try to be smart when choosing breakfast Friday but since we're going to be at the cafeteria and it's all buffet? Yeah. I might go nuts. Especially since I LOVE breakfast food. Guess it depends on what's out on the buffet, though. ;-)
Headed home now. Hoping for the best.

Soooo, well, I was soooooo hungry when I got home I just couldn't do the shake. So I ate one of my breakfasts...a little turkey sausage with an egg on a slice of rye toast with a half ounce of cheese. I feel satisfied, pleasantly. Drinking water. Also ate a marshmallow. Still think I'm doing okay calorie-wise. Also think I'm fully detoxed from my fast food binge.
