So I ate as though I haven't eaten in MONTHS at lunch yesterday. Ham, turkey AND fried chicken along with mac and cheese, sweet potato, dressing with cranberry jelly, and a square of carrot cake with cream cheese icing. YUM. I was stuffed and plump and happy all afternoon.
I did squeeze in my mile yesterday afternoon so even though that doesn't make up for the indulgent eating, it didn't hurt, either.
I took it easy at supper last night and ate a Lean Cuisine French bread pizza. I also scarfed two fun sized candy bars and two cookies because yes, I baked cookies last night. This time from scratch. I got bored and decided to bake. Of course I had to sample my baking. I brought the rest of the cookies (a dozen--the recipe is for a dozen cookies and I stretched it to 14) to work to share with friends.
I managed to sweet talk myself out of bed at 5am this morning and worked out with the DVD. I really didn't want to because my bed was so comfy and warm and I was so sleepy. But I coaxed myself up and did the full 15 minute workout. I'll still get my walk in this afternoon, too--even if it's raining. Unless it's raining hard. haha
Breakfast was back to Cheerios with a scant bit of 2% milk and water.
I won't be having a break this morning due to a meeting. Boo. But there will probably be candy on the conference table and since I'm starving and missing my coffee/water/tea break, I will likely indulge.
Lunch today will be back to a sammy and apple. Supper tonight will probably be a chicken jalapeno pocket. The recipe I talked about last week but never got around to. Yeah. I thawed a chicken breast, bought a small can of crescents and will mix that puppy up tonight. If my bunch of Kale is still good I may saute some of it up and add it to the chicken, cream cheese and jalapeno mixture. Just for some added health benefits. Also plan on sauteing some mushrooms to eat along with the pocket. I love just plane salted sauteed mushrooms. And they're packed with vitamin D so they're good for me, too!
I'll be sure and let you know tomorrow how it all panned out.
