Days 11 and 12

Yesterday was a bugger of a day, for real. I have a new supervisor who started Wednesday and yesterday was the first day of real training. Since I've been supervising myself for the past three years, I'm heavily involved in his training. Plus, I had to do some work for one of the committees I'm on. That being the case, I didn't get my walk in yesterday. Not the walk around campus, at anyrate. When I got home I dug out one of my easier-on-the-joints DVD's and did a 15 minute workout with that. I knew two days in a row wasn't going to do me any favors so I just gritted my teeth and hoped for the best.

I moved the DVD workout from the uncarpeted living room to the thickly carpeted bedroom in hopes of the carpet providing some cushion for my knees. It must have worked because I didn't hurt myself and I'm still able to walk today. Or maybe it was the Advil and the ice that did the trick! haha

Foodwise yesterday I did AWESOME. No cheats. When I totaled up my calories for the day I came in around 1200 which is way under what my acceptable goal range. I even resisted an invite to Burger King! *pats self on back*

Yesterdays menu was the usual breakfast and lunch with a salad for supper and a fun sized Kit-Kat for dessert. Plus lots of water.

As for today, I did indulge in a Starbucks Cappuccino (tall, non-fat hazelnut, if you must know--a whopping 80 calories! haha) but since it's a gorgeously cool fall day and both of my usual cohorts were busy I took the scenic route which was a mile long walk. A treat and a mile all in one? SOLD! ;-)



If all goes well I will get in another mile this afternoon. I've got some things scheduled with the new supervisor but I've got my fingers crossed that those will be done well before my 3pm designated walk time.

Breakfast and lunch will be the usual (cheerios, sandwich, apple, and water) and supper will be a half (or more likely a whole. Don't judge me.) Totinos pizza. I know I said last Friday night that I was going to only eat half but ya'll. I was STARVING when I got home so I ended up eating the whole thing. Happily enough, it still fit within my allotted calorie range so if it happens again I'm still good.
