This Week

Feeling a little whipped today after a long and harsh week. Even as harsh as the week has been, though, I haven't made a TON of bad food decisions. I did eat at BK for lunch yesterday and I've had a latte a couple days this week but all in all, not bad.  I ate smart at BK and chose carefully the rest of the day.

I may or may not go out to lunch today. My mother is planning on having lunch with her neighbor and invited me to go with them. I told her I would but I kind of don't want to. Not because I don't want to go out but I just don't know that I want to crash their little lunch date. I don't know their neighbor all that well and strangers make me self-conscious and uncomfortable.

I did kind of bottom out emotionally about my weight Wednesday morning. I pulled on a pair of slacks that used to hang from my hips and they were TIGHT. I mean, they'd been fitting properly for a while now but Wednesday morning they were snug. Of course, then later on that day I got a visit from mother nature and realized it was probably bloating that had cinched my pants. haha Two mornings later and I my jeans feel comfortable.

One thing that's helping me to resist a lot of my old temptations is the fact that I'm eating a larger breakfast these days. Eggs with kale, onions and jalapenos. Or eggs and jalapenos on toast. Eating more in the morning makes me less hungry through the day. The less hungry I am, the less I'm tempted to eat things I need to avoid.

That being said, I drank a Slimfast for breakfast this morning. I was running late due to some water issues and didn't have time to cook so I drank the Slimfast because it was quick. Now I'm starving and want to EAT ALL THE THINGS!! haha

I'm also cold and want a latte. :-/

Oh, and I weighed today. I'm trying not weigh more than once a month and today was the day. I've lost 3lbs since December. Not great but could be worse. And I'm hopeful that I've actually lost more than that considering that mother nature is still visiting. One can hope, right?
