Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday Morning

So I ended up at Panda. Of course. LOL I scarfed down a bowl of chow mein and orange chicken. It was the quickest and easiest route to get me back in the office on time. I did go with the smaller portion bowl instead of the two entree plate, though. So that's something, right? haha

Supper last night was, indeed, a Totino's pizza and for dessert I had, a, um...Well, see. I had to test a pie recipe for Thanksgiving. Coconut Rum pie with Walnuts. I've never baked with Rum before so I had to test the recipe first before committing to take it anywhere. So....yeah. I ate a slice of the pie. It was deeeeee-lish. I think I like baking with Rum. Can't really stand to DRINK the stuff. WAY too strong for tee-totaler me. lol I did try a sip of it, though, just out of curiosity. Almost gagged, it was so strong. BUT, in the pie? Heavenly. And, I may just hafta see about getting some Pina Colada mix. LOVE pina coladas. *smacks lips* A New Year's treat, maybe?

But I didn't have any candy last night. Not the first piece. So that's something, right? *sigh*

Anway, this morning's breakfast was a chocolate chip scone and coffee. I needed another break from Cheerios and since I wasn't going to be able to get my Sonic breakfast burrito, I figured a scone wouldn't hurt. Luckily I have a recipe that just makes a single scone. I usually cut the dough in half and make it two scones, though, to psyche myself out as to thinking I'm having a double portion. Sneaky, sneaky. haha

So anyway, now I am at work and still undecided as to what to do for lunch. Part of me wants to just say, "screw it" and go to my favorite Chinese buffet and chow down. Another part of me says, "Get the Sonic jr. Burger." And yet another part of me is saying to go home and fix a salad. So what if you pass out on the way home? Gah. I hate trying to satisfy my hunger, my cravings AND my health. I certainly don't need the buffet thing. Much as I enjoy it, I don't need to slip that far into indulgence. I usually come away from there fairly miserable anyway. Over stuffed and bloated from all the sodium. And it's fairly "eating alone" friendly. Nobody notices if you're alone because they're too busy stuffing their faces.

Sonic is another good "eat alone" choice, though. I can sit in my car and finish my tiny burger in twenty seconds and be on my way and nobody will notice, care, or make me feel weird.

Waiting til I get home to eat would leave me starving and light headed. It's a forty-five minute drive to the house and then another thirty minutes or so throwing something together to eat. Plus, I have stops to make before I head home anyway. So waiting really isn't an option. Finding something that won't be "bad" is what I need to do.

I'll let you know how it pans out. ;-)
