Official Weigh-in And Yesterday's Slurge

So the scale yesterday had me back up two pounds which meant I only officially lost one pound this week. Which is supposed to be the goal but still annoying that the three pounds didn't say off. *shrugs* I should probably not weigh every day and just stick to a weekly weigh-in. In some ways it encourages me to see a daily number and it also discourages me when on my "official" weigh-in day I'm always back up. I don't really understand it and it frustrates me. But I also need that daily accountability.

Maybe I should just not weight all all for a few weeks. Maybe I should just ignore the scale and continue to eat the way I know I need to  and just see where I land in a few weeks. Seeing a big number at the end of a few weeks may be more encouraging than a daily/weekly fluctuation.

Anyway, yesterday was a play day with my sister and her kids. Her oldest is going back to school next week so I had to get one more play day in before then. We had a total blast but I completely ignored my healthy low cal eating mandate. I ate cheese danish. We made pizza pockets. I made a cheesecake dessert. Drank sweet tea. I was wild and crazy with the food. But we all had fun and that's the main thing, right?

Today I'm splurging again. I know. I show no restraint. But I'm working today and have to grab lunch in between work and grocery shopping so I'm going to my favorite Chinese place. I haven't been there in a while and it's always good. AND, it's probably the last chance I'll get to go for a long time. The college town I work in will soon be flooded with fall semester students and eating out anywhere will be a chore. Hopefully this will be a wonderful deterrent to eating out much for a while.

Next week I will hopefully have a better eating plan figured out--one where I'm not hungry all day long but still low cal and nutritious. Not quite sure yet what that will be but I'll work on it before going for groceries later.
